Samvel and Valia Sukiasyan used to be successful soviet engineers. However, in the 1990-s their occupation was not in demand. Having tried themselves in various businesses, in 1999 these two urbanites made a brave move: bought a small piece of land in the village of Sardarapat, built an orchard and started producing dried fruit. Samvel was developing a unique system of driers and Valia was learning to peel peaches. They went through hail and drought, wrong selection of crops, misunderstandings with neighbour farmers, skepticism from family and friends. But with time the new job became their vocation and brought happiness into many people’s lives.
