Producer: "Armenia Wine" Factory
ORIGIN: Vayots Dzor and Ararat Valley
GRAPE: a blend of Areni and Saperavi
HARVEST DATE: Beginning October
CLIMATE: Severe continental climate. Vineyards are situated at an altitude of 1.000 - 1.500 meters above sea level.
VITICULTURAL FACTS: Average of 6 tons / hectare of grapes production.
WINEMAKING: Hand harvested. Last strict sorting on a selection table at the grapes reception. Two weeks alcoholic fermentation and maceration with temperature between 26˚C to 28˚C in stainless steel tank. Natural malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
AGEING: 16 months in French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES: This wine offers a perfect combination of fruit aromas (cherry, grape, plum, blackberry) and oak barrel aromas (vanilla, licorice, gingerbread) together with a nice floral flagrance. This wine becomes rather impressive in mouth with its full bodied structure leaving rich and long-lasting aftertaste.
EXAMPLES OF SIDE DISHES: Lamb preparations, meat with sauce, roast poultries, soft cheeses, strawberries or peaches in wine.
IDEAL TEMPERATURE: Serve between 16°C to 18°C
